PUBLISHED: 17:00 25 October 2013

Hundreds of cars in Potters Bar benefitted from a plate safe scheme last week.

The initiative, which saw tamper-proof screws fitted to motors, was aimed at stopping criminals disguise vehicles with stolen car tags.

The event, given the moniker PL8 SAF3, was backed by Potters Bar garages and
hailed by Hertsmere Borough Council and Hertfordshire Constabulary’s PCC David Lloyd.
