TWO bearded men in grey tracksuits robbed a driver as he was about to get out of his car.

The 23-year-old had parked his silver VW Golf at the University of Hertfordshire’s de Havilland Campus on Thursday, December 17, at 8.45pm.

One of the thugs jumped in the passenger seat, while the other stood on the driver’s side threatening the man.

The Asian man, in his 20s or 30s, then pulled an envelope of cash from the victim’s inside coat pocket before fleeing the scene.

The main offender, wore a hood and woolly hat, while his accomplice, also Asian and aged between 30 and 40, had a black beard and shaven head.

Both were around 6ft tall and of medium build.

Witnesses are asked to call police on 0845 33 00 222.
