Drink drive arrest after Welwyn crash which left passenger in critical condition

A TEENAGER has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a crash in Welwyn which left a passenger in a critical condition.
An Audi A4 hit a kerb at around 2.20am on Sunday in Mardley Hill, Oaklands.
Police, ambulance and fire crews rushed to the scene.
A police spokesman told the Welwyn Hatfield Times today (Monday) that four people were taken to hospital following the collision.
One remains in a “critical but stable” condition.
The rest have since been discharged.
A 19-year-old man from Knebworth was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, and has been released on bail until October.
A police spokesman said yesterday morning: “A vehicle, for reasons as yet unknown, appears to have lost control and hit a raised kerb.”
