Dramatic pictures have emerged of Potters Bar fire crews saving the set on BBC soap EastEnders.
Firefighters were called to the Elstree studios last night (Tuesday) after a fire broke out on the first floor and roof space of an Albert Square home.
It is thought a firework was to blame.
Crews from Potters Bar and Borehamwood were called to tackle the blaze shortly after 11pm.
Live shooting has been happening this week, with a full live episode being broadcast on Friday to mark EastEnders’ 30th anniversary.
Area Commander Ian Parkhouse said: “Thanks to the hard work of our firefighters, the fire was contained and extinguished before it could cause any serious damage to the set.
“We’re pleased that we were able to deal with this incident quickly, so it shouldn’t affect the 30 year celebrations taking place this week.”
