A doctor fondled the breasts of a teenage girl and three other female patients in Hatfield surgeries, St Albans Crown Court heard on Monday.

Dr Mohammed Haq, 74, of Parkstone Avenue, Hornchurch, was charged with 10 counts of indecent assault between the late 1970s and early 1980s, at Burvill House Surgery, Hilltop Surgery – which has since closed – and Colney Heath Surgery.

Prosecuting barrister Miranda Moore said the youngest victim was 15 years old when she visited Dr Haq complaining of swollen glands. He then requested she undress to her pants before “cupping her breasts and twiddling her nipples”, the court heard.

Dr Haq denies all the charges.
