AS the 70th anniversary since the outbreak of World War Two approaches on September 3, the Welwyn & Hatfield Times is appealing to all our readers who can remember what was going on at the time.

We would like to hear from anyone and everyone about their experiences in 1939.

Perhaps you were an evacuee, maybe you were called to service, you may remember what it was like at the time to hear that we was going to war or perhaps you were someone who helped out on these shores.

Whatever your memories, we want to hear from you, so that we can compile a special piece on the Wednesday September 2 edition of the Welwyn & Hatfield Times.
