Nominations are now open for the Hertsmere Civic Awards 2014/15.

The great, the good, the generous and the green in the borough will be honoured at the annual Hertsmere Civic Dinner on March 7 at Elstree Studios, in Borehamwood.

Open to Potters Bar residents and organisations, the Potters Bar & South Mimms Sixty Plus group was one of the winners earlier this year, while town carnival organisers Peter and Sue Weaver were honoured in 2012.

People nominated should have contributed to activities or initiatives which have shown a benefit to the area and directly involved other community members or colleagues.

Nominees should have worked in a voluntary capacity, or carried out work which is considered over and above their normal paid employment duties.

The deadline for entries is Wednesday, January 14, 2015, and nominations will be considered by a panel of judges.

All winners will be invited to attend a presentation evening at the Hertsmere Civic Dinner.

* To make a nomination, contact the Mayor’s Secretary, Hertsmere Borough Council, Civic Offices, Elstree Way, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, WD6 1WA, call 020 8207 7477 or email mayors.secretary@hertsmere.gov.uk
