Police have issued a dispersal notice in response to antisocial behaviour

Archant

Police have placed a dispersal order on an area of Welwyn Garden City after persistent antisocial behaviour.

Woodhall shops and the surrounding area have been plagued with the problem for several weeks, and last night officers issued the order until this evening.

It gives police the power to exclude people from the patch for a specified period of time, and officers warned failure to comply is an offence.

It follows several reported incidents at the parade, one of which involved a teen being detained.

More to follow.
