A DIGGER burst into flames in mysterious circumstances in Cuffley on Thursday.
The JCB exploded outside Cuffley School in Theobalds Road at around noon.
Firefighters from Potters Bar and Cheshunt arrived shortly after and spent around 15 minutes dousing the flames.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said no-one was injured and that the cause of the blaze was being treated as an accident.
