THE Brookmans Park resident mother of UFO hacker Gary McKinnon has blasted the decision to postpone the verdict on whether he’ll be extradited until after the Olympics.
The decision by Home Secretary Theresa May means the decade-long agony is set to continue until at least the autumn, for Mr McKinnon and his mum Janis Sharp.
Ms Sharp branded the delay “morally wrong”
And she told the WHT: “I do not believe Gary can live in a permanent state of virtual fear for much longer.”
“I am incredibly disappointed by yet another prolonged delay in which a decision on Gary’s life is again being kicked into the long grass.”
She added: “The Home Secretary has had more compelling medical evidence than they could ever have dreamed of, on which to make a positive decision for Gary.
“The Olympics taking precedence before a decision on Gary is very sad.
“The Olympics is an opportunity for a country to show its heart and courage to the world and giving a vulnerable man like Gary his freedom from ten years of mental torment, would have shown us at our best and demonstrated what kind of people we are and who we are as a nation.”
