LIFE-SAVING equipment can be bought by the Hatfield branch of St John Ambulance, after part-funding from a county councillor.
Cllr Clare Berry has given 1,000 to help pay for a Heartstart defibrillator so the ambulance for the division is fully equipped at all times.
Previously, staff have had to rely on just one defibrillator, which sometimes had to be removed from the ambulance.
Cllr Berry said: “A defibrillator is an expensive piece of kit, so I am very pleased to be able to contribute part of the cost of a new machine for them through the locality budget scheme.”
