Councillors will be deciding the fate of an iconic Hatfield hotel on Thursday.

There will be a meeting of the Welwyn Hatfield Council Development Management Committee on Thursday to decide upon plans for The Comet Hotel.

Developers want to extend and refurbish the Grade II listed building following the demolition of the rear and side extensions.

They also want to build 7,253.7 sqm of student accommodation.
