ROCK fans going to this summer's Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth House now know the day splits.
Organisers of the inaugural Sonisphere spectacular at the Hertfordshire stately home revealed last night the running order for the two main stages on August 1-2.
Nu-metal favourites Linkin Park will headline the Saturday with Heaven and Hell, the band containing members of rock legends Black Sabbath, playing underneath them.
Also on the first day will be Bullet for My Valentine, Coheed and Cambria, Taking Back Sunday, Airbourne, Anthrax and Skindred, with a couple of special guests still to be announced.
Rock gods Metallica will close the festival on the Sunday with a full two hour set, with Nine Inch Nails the sub-headliner.
Avenged Sevenfold, Alice in Chains, Machine Head, Lamb of God, Feeder, Thin Lizzy and Mastodon are also down to play the second day of the festival.
A Sonisphere statement said: "The exact running times are still being finalised, but as previously announced the outdoor stages will be running alternately to avoid scheduling clashes, meaning you will be able to see all 24 of the two main stage bands."
More acts, including a few eyebrow-raising surprises, are due to be announced soon, as well as further details about the new Bohemia festival village.
Booking fees on weekend and weekend camping tickets have also been abolished.
