With Great Britain having claimed the Davis Cup for the first time in 79 years last November, the trophy will be on show at Hatfield’s Hertfordshire Sports Village this Sunday as part of its nationwide tour.
The Sports Village will be hosting a mixture of free fun activities for the whole family throughout the day as well as an opportunity to have your picture taken with the giant trophy.
The Davis Cup, won by defeating Belgium in Ghent, will be on public display between 11am-3pm.
There will be an array of tennis-related activities to try including cardio tennis, short tennis, tennis xpress coaching, speed cage competitions, tots and mini tennis and wheelchair tennis, as well as a fantastic obstacle bouncy castle with slide for the little ones.
Coaches and tennis professionals from the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) will be around on the day coaching free sessions and giving out expert advice on the sport.
They will also be giving away prizes on the day including the chance to win a year’s membership at Hertfordshire Sports Village for the whole family worth over £1,500.
The Sports Village is wheelchair accessible and sessions are suitable for all ages and abilities.
To book onto any of the free sessions, register your place at: www.clubspark.lta.org.uk/OpenDays/HertfordshireSportsVillage
