THE gloves - and everything else - are off for Premier League goalkeeper David James.

The strapping stopper, from WGC, is among a host of male celebrities who have dared to bare all for the latest issue of Cosmopolitan.

He has posed - with modesty intact - in the magazine's annual Naked Centrefolds Special to raise awareness of prostate and testicular cancer for Everyman, the UK's leading male cancer campaign.

A magazine spokeswoman said: "This is the seventh consecutive year that Cosmopolitan has supported Everyman.

"Money is raised through dedicated hotlines and a text voting competition encouraging readers to vote for their favourite Centrefold.

"Additional money is being raised this year through a special celebrity auction."

The auction includes goalkeeper gloves signed by the Portsmouth number one and former Sir Frederic Osborn School pupil, who is facing a race against time to be fit for Saturday's FA Cup final at Wembley.

You can bid for the lots from Thursday by visiting http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/cosmopolitancentrefolds

The June issue of Cosmopolitan - featuring the full picture of David - is on sale now.
