Cuffley musician Chris D’lima decided to cover the robot-headed house music honchos’ Pharrell Williams collaboration to help boost his profile as a singer.

And with more than 4,000 people viewing Chris’ rendition on YouTube, the plan seems to be working.

Chris has also covered Lana Del Rey’s Born to Die.

A video of that cover garnered more than 58,000 views.

Chris told the WHT: “I’ve been doing covers for a while and often get requests.

“I try and seek out the future hits and this was an obvious one.”

He added: “Feedback has been great, but I’m mainly focused on original material.

“Covers are just to get my name out.”

Daft Punk’s Get Lucky is the lead single from the French duo’s fourth studio album Random Access Memories, pictured inset.

The track reached the top 10 in more than 30 countries.
