A Codicote conference centre and hotel could be converted into flats and houses if councillors agree to proposals today (Thursday).

Plans to develop The Node complex, in Hitchin Road, into 10 apartments and three houses, submitted by Court Homes Ltd, will be decided at a North Herts District Council planning meeting.

The main house will be converted into 10 flats and the former stable block will become three mews houses.

A courtyard of 13 garages will also be built and will include bin storage and six parking spaces.

A new wall and gates to the main access and a new driveway to the Lodge will be installed.

Councillors recommended the plans be approved in a pre-meeting report.
