THE cyclist who was in collision with a car earlier today (Thursday) is now in a stable condition.
The man believed to be in his 60s was taken to the QE2 Hospital, in WGC, after a collision with a Citroen Xsara on the junction of Codicote Road and Fulling Mill Lane, in Welwyn.
Two WGC ambulance crews and the Herts Air Ambulance attended the 11.15am accident.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “On arrival of the first paramedic, the man was found in a serious condition.
“Paramedics treated, stabilised and immobilised him at the roadside before he was conveyed to an awaiting trauma team at the QE2.”
