Big crowds expected for Cuffley Christmas lights switch-on

Large crowds have turned out to see the lights get switched on in Cuffley in previous years.

Villagers will have to wrap up warm to enjoy a festive lights switch-on in Cuffley at the end of this week.

The Christmas Lights Ceremony in Cuffley will be taking place on Friday, December 1.

The festivities will take place in Millenium Gardens, Maynard Place/Station Road, from 4.30pm.

Residents can enjoy carols sung by Cuffley School choir followed by tea and mince pies/

The big switch-on is scheduled for 5pm.

The Rotary Club will also be touring Cuffley with Santa and his sleigh.

The timings are as follows:

• Sunday, December 3, from 4.30pm onwards Santa will visit Tolmers Road, Thrush Lane, Starling Lane, Tolmers Road, Station Road, Theobalds Road, Theobalds Close, Kingsway, Burleigh Way, Colesdale, Northaw Road East, King James Avenue, Bacons Drive, Cranfield Crescent, Bacons Drive, Plough Hill, Kings Mead.

• Monday, December 4, from 6pm onwards he will be visiting Sutherland Way, Sutherland Avenue, Leefe Way, Bradgate, Coulter Close, Hill Rise, Warwick Avenue, Hanyards Lane. Hill Rise.

•Wednesday, December 6, from 6pm he will visit Tolmers Road, High Ridge, Tolmers Road, Brookside Crescent, Homewood Avenue.
