SIXTY cubs representing many of the nine groups within the district, took part in the annual Shepherds Cup and indoor games.

Some took part in the indoor games designed to tax the physical and mental ability of the youngsters.

After a lot of cheering on of team mates in the physical games and serious consultation between cubs, in each team, working on the mental ability games, the boys of 4th Potters Bar were the 2008 victors.

While the games were taking place, the remaining 20 cubs took part in the Shepherds Cup, a model-making contest.

This year the theme was Noah's Ark and the cubs had to make a model of the ark with animals.

They were marked on working as a team as well as the finished model.

This year's winners were a composite team from 2nd Potters Bar, 2nd Little Heath and 3rd Potters Bar packs.

The trophy will rotate throughout the year between the three groups.
