Crucial Crew event in Hatfield

Over 230 Year 9 pupils from six Welwyn Hatfield schools received valuable career, community, and health information during a ‘Crucial Crew’ event.

It took place on Tuesday, March 15, and was organised by Welwyn Hatfield Council’s partnerships team at the Fielder Centre in Hatfield.

Youngsters were able to chat to experts from a number of local and national organisations, including Victim Support, Welwyn Hatfield Youth Council, University of Hertfordshire and Family Lives.

This is the first time the council has staged an event for Year 9 pupils.

Previously the Crucial Crew event has been run for Year 6 pupils, with a focus on community safety.

It was organised in partnership with the borough’s 11 to 19 Group, which aims to improve young people’s lives in Welwyn Hatfield.
