About 600 people went to the annual Apple Day event in Tewin on Sunday, October 11, helping to raise money for the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust.

About 600 people went to the annual Apple Day event in Tewin on Sunday, October 11, helping to raise money for the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust.

Visitors had the chance to press, taste and buy apples - including rarely grown local varieties. There were also wildlife themed crafts and activities for children.

Trust Reserve Manager, Paul Thrush, who organised the day, said: “This has been a lovely event and the perfect way to celebrate the great English apple.”
