CRIME is down in our county, according to a new report from the Home Office published on Thursday.

Not that it should come as any surprise to you - as just three weeks ago the WHT ran a story that said, well, just that.

That time the stats were put out by Hertfordshire Constabulary.

It has led me to ponder, firstly, what body is next in line in the coming weeks to let us know that crime levels are down and, secondly, is there any chance of a bit of joined-up thinking between the authorities so they don't waste their time - and ours - by putting out exactly the same story?
