Several fire crews tackled a blaze in a Welwyn bakery this morning.
Four engines, including two from Welwyn Garden City and one from Hatfield, were called to Katies in High Street at 12.21am.
A spokeswoman said: “Firefighters put out the fire, which started in a ground-floor kitchen at the rear of the building, using breathing apparatus, hose reels and one covering jet.”
It was extinguished in about two-and-a-half hours, and the last crew left at 10.02am after damping down was finished.
The spokeswoman said no one was injured, and the cause was accidental.
