A MOTORCYCLIST who was killed after losing control of his bike and colliding with a lorry has been named by police.

Peter Cashmore, 52, of Park Lane in Old Knebworth, was riding his red Honda motorbike on the B655 Hitchin to Hexton road.

He was in collision with a 7.5-tonne recovery track just after 10pm on Thursday.

Mr Cashmore was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
