The police and ambulance service closed a Hatfield road this morning after a car crashed into a hedge.

The ambulance service alerted police at 11.35am today (September 18) to a crash in Great Braitch Lane.

The car, a black Mini Cooper, had left the carriageway and came to rest in the hedge.

Thankfully, according to police neither of the women in the car were believed to be injured.

Officers helped with the road closures to allow other emergency services to attend, and the road was reopened just before 1pm.
