There are delays on the A1(M) following a multi-vehicle crash between Welwyn and Welwyn Garden City.

The crash took place at around 6.15pm on the A1(M) northbound after Welwyn Garden City and within Junction 6 for Welwyn.

Approaching traffic can pass using the exit and entry slip roads via the Welwyn bypass road.

Traffic was held while the vehicles were cleared by police and highways officers and debris was swept from the road.

All lanes were reopened by 6.45pm and delays should start to ease.
