TRAFFIC on the A1(M) motorway past Welwyn Garden City was disrupted this morning by a rush hour collision.

Police were called to the motorway between Junction 6 (Welwyn) and Junction 5 (Lemsford) after reports that at least two cars had collided, with one shunted onto the embankment, although nobody was injured.

Traffic was slowed as the motorway was partly blocked southbound, but police say all lanes were open by 9.26am.
