Lamppost damaged in two-car crash in Hatfield

One person was taken to hospital after a crash in Hatfield in which one car ended up on its side.

Police were called at 1.56pm yesterday (December 4) to reports of a collision on Roehyde Way in Hatfield.

It was reported that a black Vauxhall Corsa and a silver Toyota Auris were in collision, causing the Toyota to tip onto its side.

Officers attended the scene alongside colleagues from the fire and ambulance services and temporary road closures were put in place.

The road was reopened by 3.30pm.

A Herts Police spokesman said: “A passenger in the Toyota was taken to hospital for treatment but their injuries are not thought to be serious.

“As a result of the collision, a lamppost was damaged.

“Herts Highways have been informed.”
