A man was rescued after being trapped following a two-vehicle crash in Hatfield this afternoon.

Herts Fire and Rescue Service were called to a collision between two cars on St Albans Road East at 4.12pm.

Fire engines from Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City attended.

Firefighters rescued a man trapped by neck and back pain and handed him over to the ambulance service.

Crews provided trauma care.

Fire crews had left the scene by 5.22pm.
