AN intrepid councillor has signed up to take part in a once-in-a lifetime charity trek through the Himalayas.
Cllr Peter Wayne, who represents South Mimms and Ridge on Hertsmere Borough Council, will be hiking through Nepal’s Annapurna mountain range in March to raise money for Music Makers.
The charity, which was founded by the radio station Classic FM, funds music therapy and education projects for disadvantaged children and adults across the UK.
To sponsor Cllr Wayne, 63, who is hoping to raise 3,000, go to www.dotiforcharity.com/give and click on his link.
Cheques made payable to Classic FM’s Music Makers can also be posted to Cllr Wayne at Harridor, King Edward Road, Shenley, WD7 9BY.
