Welwyn Hatfield residents are being asked for their views on wheelchair-accessible taxis in the borough.
The borough council said currently none operate in the area, and the opinions collected will be used to inform policy ahead of a formal consultation.
Councillor Fiona Thomson, executive member for public health, said: “Taxis are used by many of our residents, especially by people with limited mobility who are most in need of a door to door service.
“We want to make it much easier for people in wheelchairs to use taxis which are designed and tailored to their needs.”
