CATALYTIC convertors were stolen from vehicles in Hatfield over the weekend.

Police are keen to trace the thieves who struck in various roads in the town.

The convertors were taken away in a van or flat bed lorry from cars parked in Bishops Rise, Deerswood Avenue, Cotswolds and Ground Lane.

Detective sergeant Jo Smith said: "We are working hard to trace those responsible and are following several lines of enquiry however we still need the public's help.

"I am urging anyone who saw any of the thefts, saw anyone acting suspiciously in the roads at the time of the incidents, or knows anything about them to please come forward to police."

If a vehicle has had its catalytic convertors removed it will make an abnormally loud noise in the exhaust area and may not drive properly.

Call police on 0845 33 00 222.
