Welwyn Hatfield mayor Howard Morgan signs a letter of congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the birth of their son

MAYOR of Welwyn Hatfield, Howard Morgan, has written to Prince William and Princess Catherine, offering congratulations on the birth of their son, on behalf of the people of the borough.

Cllr Morgan signed a letter to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge today (Wednesday) where he wished the new royal baby boy and his parents well.

He also said Her Majesty the Queen, who visited Hatfield last summer as part of her Diamond Jubilee Tour, must be looking forward to becoming a great-grandmother again.

He wrote: “Congratulations on the birth of your first son.

“We are pleased for the happy parents, for Prince Charles and for Her Majesty the Queen, who must be a proud great-grandmother again.

“The people of Welwyn Hatfield Borough wish you well for the future.”
