A MALE strip group managed by a Welwyn man will be revealing a bit more than usual as they burst on to our television screens tonight (Wednesday).

The Dreamboys, managed by David Richards, of The Avenue, will be laying themselves bare in a one-off documentary on Channel 4.

David said: “I am really excited, I have worked my whole life for this.”

Confessions of a Male Stripper will be aired at 11pm and will take a look at the lives of the men who remove their clothes for screaming women most weekends.

It will also show how David, who used to be part of the act, turned the group into a multi-million pound business.

The 32-year-old said: “It shows you everything that is The Dreamboys.

“It shows you how much goes into creating the company, how much work goes on behind the scenes. It shows you how hard it is to do all this.”

The documentary will enlighten the audience on the dramas surrounding the boys – including relationship breakdowns and fights backstage.

“This is a real life documentary. Nothing is scripted in any way, shape or form and that is why people will love it.

“When people come to see the show they only see the boys live on stage. They don’t realise how real they are.”

In the programme David will also be on the hunt for some fresh faces for the act and the audience will get to see some of the men who audition for the role.
