A MUSIC competition final will take place on Sunday (July 14), which could provide a launch pad to a career in the industry.
Formally known as Pop Luck, and celebrating its 10th consecutive year, the 3 Music competition has led to a career in the music biz for two previous winners.
Following her own 3 Music success as the 2006 winner, Jade Williams, known in the industry as Sunday Girl, is now signed to Universal Records and has enjoyed chart success.
The 2011 winner, Samantha Grint, sister of Harry Potter star Rupert, has also released an album.
A spokeswoman said: “The organisation behind the competition, Inspirational Arts, has been working with Welwyn Hatfield Council and the Hertfordshire Music Service to give young people the chance to realise their potential through local auditions and heats.”
