Residents are encouraged to plant bulbs in memory of loved ones at a community bulb planting day in Hatfield.
The event will be held at the Garden of Remembrance at the Lawn Cemetery in Hatfield from 9am to 2pm on Saturday, November 12.
Welwyn Hatfield Council will be providing the equipment and bulbs, while groundsmen will help with the digging of the ground.
Participants are encouraged to wear suitable footwear and clothing.
There will be a mixture of bulbs, including tulips, which are all different coloured flowers.
Councillor Helen Bromley, executive member for environment, said: “We encourage the whole community to use this space and it’s great that this event will make some positive contributions to the cemetery.
“We are sure that this colourful display will brighten up the lives of residents when they flower in the spring as well as serving as a reminder of loved ones.
“I’m hoping lots of people will join us this Saturday.”
Booking for the event is not necessary, if you would like to attend just turn up on the day.
