Cigarettes taken in Hatfield store burglary

CIGARETTES worth more than �1,000 were taken during a raid on a supermarket on Monday.
The burglars swiped the fags after forcing open a metal fire escape door at the rear of the Co-operative Food store in Bishops Rise, Hatfield, at just after 11pm.
A police spokeswoman said officers were alerted to the theft by the shop’s alarm.
