A Hatfield man is continuing his mission to make sure every child has a present to open on Christmas day.

Timothy Muggleton is appealing once again for donations of toys and gifts to give to disadvantaged children at Christmas.

He’s been Welwyn Hatfield’s de facto Father Christmas for nearly eight years now, he estimates - and he says he’s not even much of a Christmassy person himself!

But there’s one thing he feels he needs to do to make the season swing.

“Call me sentimental, but I can’t think of anything worse than to wake up as a child and not have any Christmas presents,” he told the WHT.

Presents will go to children at the Welwyn Hatfield Women’s Refuge.

You can donate presents to by bringing them to Timothy’s house at 49 Stockbreach Close in Hatfield.

Please bring them unwrapped so that the refuge workers can match presents to each child in their care.
