Child unconscious after Hatfield crash rushed to hospital

A child has been taken to hospital following a serious two-vehicle crash in Hatfield this afternoon.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics treated a boy who was unconscious following reports of the collision by the junction for Wellfield Road and Comet Way at around 1.30pm.
An air ambulance was sent along with an ambulance crew and rapid response vehicle, before the child was taken to Lister Hospital at around 2.20pm.
A police spokeswoman confirmed the two cars involved were a blue Peugeot Dolce and a black Honda Civic.
No arrests have been made and officers have now left the scene, she added.
