The answer: maybe not safe as you think.
Last year road safety officers from Hertfordshire County Council checked 800 seats of which a staggering 70 per cent were labelled unsafe and needed adjusting.
Find out how to make your child's car seat safe at two events in Welwyn Hatfield.
The checks will be held on July 14 at 9.30am until 3pm in Waitrose, Welwyn Garden City, and July 22 from 10.30am until 1pm at Asda in Hatfield.
There is no need to make an appointment just turn up on the day.
