Members of the public have alerted police to dumped charity collection boxes in Welwyn Garden City, which they think may have been stolen.

The boxes were spotted near the train station.

A Herts Police spokeswoman told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “Police have received a report today (Monday, February 25) of three discarded charity money boxes underneath the footbridge at Welwyn Garden City train station.

“Anyone with information about where are they are from, or how they came to be there, should call the non-emergency number 101 quoting ISR 257 of Feb 25.”
