FIREFIGHTERS in Potters Bar are appealing for car drivers to pull up at the fire station for a clean car and a clean conscience.
It's The Fire Fighters Charity's national car wash day today (Saturday) - and our town is no exception.
So drive over to the station in Mutton Lane any time between 10.30am and 4.30pm to get your motor cleaned up.
There is no fixed charge, but people are asked to make a donation.
It is all in aid of the national charity, which provides a range of services that preserve the quality of life for serving and retired fire service personnel and their families.
Potters Bar station commander Trevor Brown said: "We hope people will take the time to come along to have their car washed, with all donations received going directly to a good cause.
