The owner of a large parcel of land on the fringe of Welwyn Garden City is inviting people to help shape its plans for a major housing development tomorrow.

Tarmac, which proposes 2,500 homes, to be known as Birchall Garden Suburb,immediately west of the A414, is holding a two-day “community planning” event.

The event at the Homestead Court Hotel will last from 2pm to 6pm on Friday, and from 10am to 6pm on Saturday.

Although it is structured as various group workshops, people can also drop in, with exhibitions on display until 7pm on Friday and 3pm on Saturday.
