RAMBLERS can do their bit to help a Welwyn Garden City hospice – by taking part in a series of similtanious walks.

The Isabel Hospice Chain Walk features routes of between five and 20 miles, and will be happening on Sunday, September 15.

Organiser Maria Alexander said: “With these distances on offer there is something to suit everyone.

“The walks start at around 9.30am from designated points and are scheduled to arrive at a pub by midday for a brief lunch break.

“Following lunch, walkers will return to the start point by a different route.

“There is no entry fee to take part in the Chain Walk, but we do ask walkers to either make a donation or raise sponsorship.

“We would like to thank Brittany Travel and Ramblers Worldwide Holidays for their continuing support of this event.”

Routes in Times Territory include:

- From The White Horse pub, Welwyn, to The John Bunyan, Coleman Green and return, taking in Brocket Hall – 9.8 miles

- From Mill Green to The Five Horseshoes in Little Berkhamsted – nine miles

- From The George & Dragon at Watton-at-Stone to The White Horse, Welwyn - 12.2 miles

- From Ramblers Worldwide Holidays in Lemsford to the Cross Keys, Gustard Wood and return – 10 miles

To take part, call 01707 382500.
