CRY God for Harry, England and St George in Hatfield this weekend.
Because the town centre will be transported back to medieval times tomorrow (Saturday) – the day after St George’s Day – to celebrate the patron saint of England.
From noon until 5pm there will be children’s activities including a St George and the Dragon sketch performed by de Havilland Saturday Morning Club, a hog roast, bell ringing, and live music.
There will also be funfair rides, arts and crafts activities and a saints-themed quiz, while Welwyn Hatfield mayor Kim Langley will dish out prizes to the winner of a ‘decorate a shield’ competition, which took place in the school holidays.
Hatfield town centre co-ordinator Kellie Bradley said: “There is a wide range of activities and the day promises to be lots of fun. A great day out for the whole family!”
