Detectives from British Transport Police want to speak to the man after the theft on Thursday, June 11.

The theft took place from the cycle racks in the station’s multi-storey car park at 6.35pm.

Detective Sergeant Santi Sende said: “A man was seen loitering in the area, watching the cycle racks.

“Once they were clear he approached and began examining the bikes.”

He was interrupted by a member of the public, but continued to loiter in the area and, when he was left alone again, stole a bicycle.

DS Sende added: “Fortunately the area in question is well covered by CCTV and we have been able to isolate an image of a man who I think has important information about this theft.

“Please tell us who he is.”

Anyone with information should contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference ESUB/B7 of 16/07/2015.
