Police are appealing for witnesses after a house was ransacked and jewellery stolen in South Mimms.

Officers are investigating the burglary in Warrengate Lane, which happened on Friday, April 6, between 7.50am and 4.45pm.

A police spokeswoman said the burglars got in by damaging a window and rooted through the property before stealing “a quantity of cash” and the following items:

“Along with a quantity of cash, the following items were taken

•Ernest Jones diamond earrings

•Cufflinks – silver with blue stripes

•Cufflinks – gold with an embossed initial

•Three plain gold cufflinks

•Cufflinks – plain steel with plated black

•A Hefik wrist watch – gold face, dark strap with engraving on the back

•A burgundy Ted Baker t-shirt

•A blue Ted Baker t-shirt

The spokeswoman urged anyone with information to contact officers via non-emergency number 101, quoting crimte reference J3/18/511.
