A national care home provider has taken the reins at a Woolmer Green facility.

Care UK, one of the country’s largest independent provider of health and social care, has recently acquired Knebworth Care Home in London Road, having previously been run by Abbey Healthcare.

The home has been designed to enable residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, and includes a hair salon, coffee shop and cinema lounge.

Regional director Bernard Mawoyo said: “We are thrilled to announce our arrival here in the town and have already received such a warm welcome from the local community, as well as residents and team members at the care home.

“We look forward to building strong relationships with local people and are ready for an exciting new chapter here in Woolmer Green.”

Knebworth Care Home manager Vera Moreira-Henocq added: “I will be working closely with our new Care UK team to make Knebworth an even more fulfilling place for residents, with plenty of fun activities and events already in the pipeline.”
