FLAMES erupted when rubbish caught fire at a caravan site near a busy motorway.
The fire service was called to the Holwell caravan site, off the A414, near Essendon, on Monday after the blaze which started at 3.55pm.
WGC firefighters used a jet hose to control the fire which took an hour to put out.
A fire spokeswoman said the flames were “fairly big”.
